Joseph Morcos

Joseph Morcos — currently serving as President of the Board of Directors of the Quebec Psychotherapist Association (APQ) —is a seasoned psychotherapist (OPQ) who launched his private practice in 2012 after an illustrious 15-year career in youth protection under the Youth Protection Act (YPA) and Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
His clinical focus centres on providing treatment for individuals grappling with challenges like anxiety, depression, PTSD, burnout, anger, and cultural adaptation issues, where he’s been always devoted to enhancing their quality of life with sound expertise and unconditional positive regard.
Joseph’s educational journey includes a specialized B.A. in psychology and an honours B.A. in applied human sciences, marked by achievements such as being on the dean’s list and an invited member of the Golden Key Honour Society. In 2012, he completed an M.A. in counselling psychology with excellence from McGill, proudly joining the Order of Guidance Counsellors of Quebec (OCCOQ) followed by a postmaster degree in psychodynamic psychotherapy and a license to practice psychotherapy from the Order of Psychologists of Quebec (OPQ).
Other certifications include: Right of the Order of Social Workers and Marriage and Family Therapists (OTSTCFQ), Clinical Associate and Active Clinical Member of the Argyle Institute of Human Relations and Former member of the Quebec Counselling Association (QCA).
